We just returned from a very relaxing trip to VA Beach. There were only 3 kids with us (Katie, Melissa, and Nicolas). Cory decided to stay with Daniel and Robin....he's not a "water person." Maybe he's still a bit scarred from last year's vacation experience where he ended up in the hospital with an appendectomy. No boo-boo's to report this time! The weather was perfect. I think the highlight for me this year, was sitting by the pool very early in the morning, watching the kids swim in the freezing water, and studying for my RNC exam. It was so peaceful! It was also wonderful to see the kids get so much pleasure from "hanging" with each other. Tabb braved the ocean each afternoon and took the kids wave jumping. I was happy to wave from the shore! We had one brief scare when the kids ran screaming from the water - a little dolphin vs shark confusion. Upon arriving home...the kids put their swimsuits back on and headed to the neighborhood pool....I guess vacation continues!
