Home Again!

I'm baaaack....I had a wonderful time visiting my Mom and Marlin. The weather was amazing. Mom's cooking was even more amazing. I'm surprised I didn't need a seat belt extender after eating all that great food! Most of the time we just talked, played canasta, and vegetated. I really needed that quality time with them, but I missed Tabb and the kids. Tabb was thrown under the bus when Melissa got the H1N1....she had a pretty bad bout of it and so far no one else has contracted it. I think we'll be in the clear if no one else contracts it by Monday or Tuesday. The house was pretty well destroyed when I got home. I guess that's okay, although it doesn't feel good to come home and play maid. I'm kind of at a point where I'm starting to throw out people's stuff that I find laying around. I've warned everyone repeatedly, but to no avail. So today, I found a plastic bag with 6 cookies in it laying in my den. I tossed it! Of course, Tabb's food radar went off and he asked where his cookies went....I told him, "the trash." Well, you would have thought I had thrown out $ 1,000,000 ...he went dumpster diving, retrieved the cookies, and ate them. Give me strength!!! I could understand if it was money, but it was old cookies!

After reclaiming/recleaning the kitchen, I went to my hospital Leadership Academy graduation. It was a difficult program that positions me for further growth in my career. A picture or two is attached. It's wonderful to have so many opportunities for learning. Tomorrow Cory and I plan on making apple butter. Tabb will be at work most of the day...but no worries...he probably has one or two of his nasty cookies to nibble on!
