I have this newspaper article from the summer I turned 9 where the journalist, after interviewing me concerning my feelings about our nation's Independence Day, said that I was "strikingly beautiful". I have always loved that article and that man!
K.Q.....thanks so much. It just goes to prove that kids need to hear over and over how amazing they are. Especially when there are so many who try to take away our self worth. I hope that Mom you've mentioned in your blog realizes the impact of her behavior on her child.
Erin...I truly feel that Heavenly Father led me to Nursing. Two of my children have had emergencies that if I hadn't had my degree, I may have missed the signs. So...all the work for the degree is worth every bit of PAIN going back to school caused me!! Now I'm working on my Master's in Nursing Research. It's the slow boat to China, but I'll get there. Happy Thanksgiving!!
